SPECIAL EVENTS 2020

VIZHITHIRU KANNE AWARENESS PROGRAM

"Vizhithiru Kanne Awareness Program" held at Pallikonda Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vellore on 27.02.2020 was inaugrated by Shanmugasundaram I.A.S, District Collector, Vellore. A complaint box was placed at every school campus wherever this campaign was conducted for the students to report about the sexual harassment they face. Complaints received were handed over to District Collector.

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS

A road safety awareness program was conducted under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police to reduce the number of road accidents in the Tirupattur District. The Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Palaniselvam from Vaniyambadi led the giant road safety awareness vehicle rally prearranged by SRDPS. The awareness program was organized with awareness songs and parai music played by the SRDPS staff. Various slogans were raised at the rally such as the importance of wearing a helmet, following the rules of road safety and the consequences of drunk and drive. The motorcade started at Vaniyambadi bus stand and continued to various parts of the city. Then an awareness rally was held in various areas starting from the Natrampalli bus stand. More than 500 people including Friends of Police, SRDPS staff, Members of Roots Foundation, Volunteers, and the General public attended the rally.

MENTALLY ILL

The Government of TamilNadu issued nutritional items and the same was distributed to the beneficiaries of the home. The program was arranged and held on 10.04.2020


Mr.K.C.Veeramani., Minter Of Commercial Tax, Mr. M.P. Sivan Arul., District Collector, M.P. Vijayakumar, I.P.S,and Mr. Babu Differently Abled Welfare Officer took part in the program.

Drawing Competition

The Tirupattur District Counsel conducted a drawing competition for the school students on the topic “Corona Awareness" upon instructions from the District Superintendent of Police, Tirupattur. Many studentsudents participated in this competition.


Ms.Divya, who represented SRDPS Home won 2nd place in the District. Mr. M.P Sivan Arul, District Collector, and Mr.Vjayakumar, I.A.S and District Superintendent of Police, presented gifts to the students.
