Adoption:
A specialised Adoption Agency has been functioning in Tirupatturi District since 2007 with the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Considering the serious problem of abandoning and surrendering of newborn babies by their biological mothers, the Government approved SAA Project and issued a Recognition certificate to SRDPS on 22.10.2007 and initiated on 04.01.2008 in an Inaugural Function attended by the Vellore District Collector.
Ujjawala:
The Ujjawala project was first established in 2009 with the mission of rehabilitating victims of abduction. In India, an estimated 30,000 individuals experience trafficking annually. Human trafficking is a terrible crime in which vulnerable people are sold and then used for organ extraction, sexual exploitation, forced labor and other malicious purposes.
Swadhar :
Swadhar scheme ensures inmates are provided with healthy meals. Food is served in accordance to a pre-planned menu that is subject to change for national holidays and special occasions. Bulk permits have been issued to the Home which enables them to purchase food materials at discounted prices, ensuring adequate supplies of high-quality sustenance. When needed, medical advice is taken into consideration when preparing and serving meals for sick inmates.
