Infrastructure

SRDPS is a campus of 0.75 acres or 32,000 Sq.ft. with a four storied building and a floor space of 26,000 Sq.ft. for various projects. The entire area is surrounded by a compound wall of 17ft. high and a barbed wire fencing of 4 ft. high to ensure maximum protection and security for the inmates. The main gate is made up of iron with 16ft high and a peep-hole to see the visitors visiting in the night. There are two gates in the either sides of the main gate.

The main gate at the entrance is opened only for the incoming and outgoing of 4-Wheelersand VIP Vehicles. Additional Side gates are provided on either sides of the main gate. The Left-side gate coming from inside the campus is occupied by the Cradle Baby booth which is well protected and hamper free so that when the baby is surrendered at the Cradle booth, it is received safely. Once the bell rings, the child will be taken by us and is nourished as required.

On the North-East side, there are 12 toilets cum bathrooms with a wash area for washing and drying clothes.

A bore well with a capacity of 30,000 litres that is tiled to make cleaning easy and to keep it hygienic is also installed.

An overhead tank with a capacity of 45,000 litres is installed which supplies clean water to the entire campus. A security room near the main gate with reception service round the clock.

On the South East side, a well equipped kitchen with gas, electric stoves, grinders, refrigerator, RO system, water connections, storage facility for vegetables and groceries, TV, etc. are situated. This kitchen has the capacity of cooking for 100 people at a time.

Rainwater is treated and collected in the Rainwater harvesting tank, installed in the building to provide an alternative supply during water restrictions. The remaining water is pumped directly into the deep well.

Garden Maintenance: Flowering plants, creepers and trees are planted around the campus in available spaces which gives an aesthetic and greenery look.

Vehicle Shed: sizeable space is created for parking the two and 4-wheeler vehicles.

8 closed circuit Television cameras are installed in strategic places like main gate, feeding room, staff room, kitchen and on the high fence to monitor the movements of people who visit the campus. The cameras are connected to The Director’s room which allows close monitoring and enables us to take presumptive action.
